A user awareness programme on use of e-resources of Mininstry of Communications And Information Technology (MCIT) Library Consortium, was organised at NIELIT Agartala Centre in association with MCIT Library Consortium. The inaugural session begin with the welcome and keynote address by Shri Niladri Das, Scientist-C, NIELIT Agartala Centre. Shri C.K Dhar, State Informatics Officer, NIC Tripura State Unit explained & emphasized the need of standards in developing various applications as well as documentation available globally. He also mentioned about the rising demand in use of e-resources evolving around the globe. Shri S.K Sharma, ALIO & Member Convener, MCIT Library Consortium informed about the objectives & recent initiatives of the MCIT consortium. The technical session on IEEE and book24x7 was presented respectively by Shri Dhanu Pattanashetti, Manager Client Services IEEE and Shri S.K Sharma. The technical session ended with a question & answer session wherein all the queries from the participants were addressed. Finally the programme ended with a vote of thanks by Shri Prasanta Kr Nath, Asst. Librarian, NIEIT Library Agartala .
